Rolcon manufactures micro conveyor rollers for facilities with limited space, high efficiency requirements and delicate products.
Our micro rollers are compatible with many of the most popular conveyor systems on the market, so you can rest assured knowing your investment will fit your facility’s requirements.
About Our Micro Rollers
All our rollers are made to each order’s specifications to ensure high quality and adherence to customer requirements.
Tube Diameters
The diameter of your micro roller tube directly impacts your conveyor system’s total load capacity. Generally, thicker rollers can withstand heavier loads.
Tube size is also critical for high production efficiency. Larger tube sizes typically boost efficiency due to their higher load capacity and greater surface area, though smaller tubes may be more suitable depending on your facility.
Our standard diameters include:
- 3/4″
- 7/8″
- 1″
We can also accommodate unique requirements by designing rollers of other sizes and shapes. Ask a representative for more information on our process for custom designs.
Roller Features
We have designed our products to be compatible with a wide range of conveyors and other machine parts. Our standard micro roller conveyor features include:
- Axle shape: Although round 1/4″ axles come standard in our micro rollers, we can also produce hexagonal or round axles with a 5/16″ diameter to meet different efficiency and operational requirements.
- Tube materials: We use 13-gauge, 16-gauge and 20-gauge stainless steel for our standard micro rollers, but we can accommodate other materials if needed.
- Spring loaded: Rolcon rollers are spring loaded on each end for smooth, hassle-free insertion into your conveyor system.
- Roller coverings: We can apply custom coatings to enhance corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and nonstick properties.
Custom Roller Design Options
Our rollers are highly configurable, so we can customize them to suit a wide variety of needs for companies across many different industries.
If your facility requires rollers that do not fall into our standard designs, our team can work with you to develop a custom micro roller. Contact us for more information on how this process works. We can answer any of your questions and concerns about our designs, so you can ensure your purchase is ideal for your facility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Although there is no real “maximum” BF for a micro roller we do not recommend going over 24″. Anything over 24″ you start getting into issue with axle/roller deflection and load considerations.
The load capacity depends on the diameter of the roller, the bearing and axle size. Micro rollers typically have a load rating of 15-20lbs and lower depending on those parameters.
The rollers on our site are our standard offerings. If you can’t find the roller you are looking for call or send and email. We do a lot of custom rollers and we can probably help you with a custom roller.
There are many ways an axle can be retained. The most common and standard way is with a spring on both sides of the axle for ease of installation. But we offer other ways to retain the axle. Call us for your specific application.
We do require a number of dimensions in order to make sure you get the correct roller. Typical dimensions are: Diameter of the tube, gage of the tube, length, size and configuration of the axle, the between frame dimension and the bearing set.
If you have any questions on how to order your roller you can always email or give us a call. You can also click here to get our instructions on how to measure your conveyor roller.
A good rule of thumb is if your conveyor is running at 200′ per minute and HIGHER then a precision bearing will give you the most benefits. Lower than that a non-precision bearing will work well.
You can spot a failing bearing by looking for these four early warnng signs: Auditory – grinding or screeching, clicking or rhythmic popping and increased hum. Touch – heat and vibration. Is the bearing excessively hot to the touch? Is the frame vibrating more to the touch? Both of these indicate a failing bearing. Spin – If the roller is not spinning freely OR there is excessive wobble between the bearing and the axle the bearing could be going bad. Visual – If the bearing is “bleeding” grease or there is metal dust around the bearing it could be a sign that the bearing is going bad.
